Next week, 343 Industries is bringing Halo fans a rose-tinted walk down memory lane with the series' first game arriving in newly remastered form, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. On the multiplayer side, that game will include six old-school multiplayer maps and one new Firefight map, all running in the Halo: Reach engine. This one seems like a no-brainer then: a Halo Anniversary Map Pack is coming to Reach.
343 announced the news on the Halo website, confirming that the map pack will be arriving on November 15, the same day as the $40 Anniversary disc release. The pack will sell for 1,200 MS Points, though anyone who buys Halo: CE Anniversary will get a download code for adding those maps to Reach.

I don't get what everyone's arguing over. I came to this article for some info. Not to read some crappy youtubesque arguments. Stop arguing because no one is going to agree with the other.

Hang em' high is back, I may just consider this

Awesome, I assume this means that Reach itself will be getting new Achievements again?
benhan1
it would be nice if you could play them together people on reach using those maps can battle people in halo: ce edition.

Half-Life on the PC and Halo on the consoles are the most memorable/inspirational FPS's for me.

Regenerating health/sheilds
Now the industry standard.
So where is Goldeneye, Marathon, Halflife, and Ringworld? Footnotes in the shadow of the Giant that is Halo.

Wait wait wait...
Did you just say that halo.... HALO... was the most revolutionary shooter known?
Just WHAT did it pioneer or revolutionize?
First console fps to finally get it right? Sorry, thats goldeneye.
First fps to get console multiplayer fps right? Again, thats goldeneye
First fps to use dual wielding right? Sorry, thats Marathon.
First game to tell cinematic story? Sorry, thats Half life
Does it have an original story? If you say yes, ringworld would like to have a chat with you.
Halo 1 was a rushed product built on the ground of 2 different games. This is well known. Halo 2 was a rushed product for the multiplayer. Halo 3 was a rushed product for the sake of halo. Halo ODST was a over priced dlc (Which it was planned to be). Halo: reach was a swan song, Probably the best of the series, but revolutionized nothing.
Halo is a good game. Its just not 'revolutionary' in anyway shape or form. It took the groundwork laid by other, better products and slapped them together. Does this make a better product? Sometimes. But thats not what you said, theDunn.

then your an ass who buys games for multiplayer only. go wank it to COD some more, scrub
halo is the most revolutionary shooter known, particularly for its ability to hold a successful, attracting campaign while remaining a hardcore, well developed shooter

This is all I want, dont really care to play through the campaign again.
