During a financial call today, Ubisoft confirmed what we basically already knew, another Assassin's Creed title is planned for 2012. Ubi CEO, Yves Guillemot, reassured shareholders there would be plenty of Desmond in their lives.
"There will be another great full-fledged Assassin's Creed title next year," Guillemot said. "It will be another major release and we will be communicating more about it in the coming months."
Assassin's Creed: Revelations will conclude Ezio and Altair's story line. Assassin's Creed 3, which I assume this next title will be, will focus on Desmond and his struggle to defeat the Templars in a modern day setting.
Ass Creed: Revelations will be released on November 15th. With one title still awaiting release, are you already anticipating another Ass Creed title?

I honestly don't think it will be the last game in the series. Assassin's Creed is making Ubisoft A LOT of money. Besides... as long as they put care and thought into their titles, I wouldn't mind playing more Assassin's Creed games.
I'd actually really like to play in Victorian England and during the French Revolution, but that's just me. I'm a bit of a history buff.

So long as it's Assassin's Creed 3, I'm game, but I think a trilogy within a trilogy is enough already.
