Rockstar Confirms Grand Theft Auto 5; Trailer Coming November 2

Grand Theft Auto 5 has been confirmed. Rockstar's homepage is simply a logo for the game and a date for the first trailer: November 2. That's a week and a day from today, people.

Little is revealed by the graphic, although the "five" and "V" are obviously a reference to cash-money, the collection of which is a mainstay in the GTA world.

We don't have any official details on the game yet, but casting notices that appeared back in March may give some clues as to what kinds of characters we can expect in the game. We also speculated on where the game might be set. Personally, I'd love to see the game set in San Andreas, mostly because I want to rip apart a virtual Los Angeles in the game.

For the record: We don't have a release date, or release window, nor do we know what systems this will be for, but if I had to guess, I'd say the PS3 and the 360 are pretty likely.

Yes back to Vice City or a new version of San Andreas. If not Philly would be a nice change or Detroit if not New York or hell lets drift and go to Japan(Tokyo)

That'd be awesome if they made it vice city. That was the first game I got in the series and loved it!!!! I know that map like the back of my hand.

Its all about the money. Can't wait to see the trailer. Hope there has been some graphical update to the engine.

Wasn't Los Venturas a city mentioned in the GTA series. I'd personally love to see a Las Vegas setting.

Philly Baby! Philly needs represented. The city of brotherly love has it all: murder, gangs, mafia, drugs.etc. Plus, all the little towns outside of Philly have a very "Deliverance" feel to them. Remember when San Andreas was more than just one city? It would be cool to be in the big city most of the game and then venture out to hillbilly country to squeal like a pig. Not to mention, Jersey is very close.

Please be about Packy. I think a faux-Jersey setting for him would fit perfectly. The design of the logo makes me think of Wall Street, though, so maybe we'll be busting heads in LC again. Either way, it's gonna be a great game.

Can't wait, I just pray they got rid of the friend system. I hated that in 4 and SA but at least in SA it didn't really affect much. But in 4 if I was having fun playing missions or just causing chaos I would get a call to go play pool or go bowling and if I didn't than Niko was a jerk and his friends would lose respect for him. I just want to play a GTA game without having to worry about checking in game email or going to bowl or play pool. If they get rid of the system I'll be stoked. And I would love the game to be in either San Andreas or Vice City. And in Vice City I could take out a virtual Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Christ Bosh whenever I want, that would be epic.

I highly doubt they'll pull a "San Andreas" and throw everything in at once. They'd just have another "GTA IV" reaction when they're supposed to top it again with the GTA after V. I highly enjoyed GTA IV, granted there wasnt even half as much stuff to do. Cop chases and gun fights probably the top experience. My hopes are that GTA V is sort of tropical, or at least brighter and less depressing than Liberty City.

OMFG...I'M SOOOO PUMOED NOW i have chills going down my spine. Lets go san andreas. Bring back all the clothes and character customization like muscle and eating to get fat lol. bring back car customization. bring back gun skills...omg i cant wait
