"Kart Driver" tells the story of Mario as he searches for his on-and-off again girlfriend, Pauline, but I doubt you've ever seen an imagining of the Super Mario Bros series quite like this. "Kart Driver" is the second film in the G4 Films Epictober Film Festival. It was co-written and directed by Drew Daywalt. His co-writer is none-other than G4's Stephen Johnson.
"Kart Driver" pays homage to Mario's first love, Pauline and first nemesis, Donkey Kong. But don't worry; you'll recognize a few old friends here too.
Director Drew Daywalt knows a thing or two about horror; he directed several episodes of the MTV's new Horror-comedy television series Death Valley, the feature Stark Raving Mad and many horrific short films for the internet.

I think it was pretty good but I agree with slartibartfest. He should have been in a kart and with donkey kong. Really? When I saw the dk tie. I thought that it was some future dk that came out of a test tube

I get that it's trying to be serious like taxi driver, but yeah I agree with most of the other comments that at least a kart should have been involved with some pov shots. And since when is Luigi the older brother? I sort of understand why dk is a humanoid, I think they're trying to play on the word gorilla as it's used in jersey shore language, a gorilla juicehead is someone who works out alot, but this dk was kind of fat and gross, is that where the donkey came in? Methinks the title should have been a play on the title donkey kong instead.
