Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the next chapter in the worldwide phenomenon but it's still a few weeks away. To tide you over, the kind souls at Activision have released a new launch trailer, and we're sure the timing has nothing to do with Battlefield 3 coming out next week. Until November 8th, enjoy viewing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launch trailer over and over again.

I have been an unabashed fan of Call of Duty since its first game in 2003. Call of Duty 2 made a huge splash and changed CONSOLE shooters forever (and very well made online multiplayer more accessible than ever if you had a 360 or PC (i had both CoD 2: Big Red One and CoD 2)). Of course CoD 3 was awful (same with every following Treyarch game). Modern Warfare came around and again brought the console shooter out of the M1 Garand era. Whoever says that this games release was not a game changer is frankly ignorant. And of course Modern Warfare 2. But I'm not here to point out the chronological history and the strengths and flaws of every CoD game (though it is tempting to trash Treyarch). I want to point out that I have also owned Battlefield 2, Battlefield 1943, Bad Company, Bad Company 2. To all the Battlefield fanboys, dont say i have not played these games and give up half way through this and give me a thumbs down.
Battlefield games are unique, realistic and consistently great online, and yes have been around longer, but just because its coming from the PC in a real fashion does not mean that Modern Warfare 3 is a crap game, before it has even been released.
Call of Duty is fast, unrealistic , and if you say the graphics are awful, once again you are a Battlefield fanboy so give me a thumbs down anyways (even though i am agreeing with you that battlefield is a good game). CoD brought multiplayer to the much larger console gaming audience, so much so that DICE and EA are finally jumping on to create a true quality product. Face it, its true, there has never been such hype over a console release of a Battlefield game.
I will buy both, because i love both, And to those that argue over this on G4TV.com, simply put, YOU ARE THE MINORITY. The vast majority of consumers that buy these games do not know or care about these meaningless arguments.

if you like BF, you like BF, i am a long time fan of CoD, and i can agree, nothing drastic has been done to the franchise, but what can really be done? if it ain't broke don't fix it, right? Bf3 is fun and all, i enjoyed the beta, but CoD is where the heart is.

already got a week off of work for release. bf3 will be on back burner....more like the freezer. but since this is a mw3 video post people who are pro bf3 shouldnt even care to whatch this vid. lamos. really waiting for mass effect 3.

Hell I only have a PS3 just for this game! I definitely have to get this game since my aircraft is in the opening of this video and made it as kill streak! Nothing like doing this an everyday job and my down time! MW3 Rocks! I just wish the release date wasnt near my wife's B-Day, so know I have to wait a day or so to play it!

Does anyone know about the point system. From the last video from mw it sounded like you didn't need to get a killstreak to get the bonus. a point system doesn't sound like the cod that made me spend all my summer playing black ops, i don't think it will be that enjoyable to have 5 people a round getting the highest kill streak. Plz tell me if i got it all wrong but i dont think its a good idea

You guys are probly the same idiots complaining about Xbox 360 being better or PS3. Regardless what you morons say both with be equally matched. I'm not gonna lie, I'm losing faith in Call of Duty. Now that Activision is making Call of Duty a yearly franchise, I'm going to be less inclined to buy it. Eventually, Activision is going to run Call of Duty into the ground, just like Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero, and also these games have always lost to a game that brought a bit more realism into them ( Skate for Tony and Rock Band for Guitar Hero). Hell to me, MW3 just looks like an expansion pack of sorts, visually it looks the same as MW2, and besides new guns and maps. And i know that this is the basis for most sequels, but since theirs been a new CoD game coming out every year since 2007, it becomes very noticeable. Even MW3 only added one new mode, and they even took out the currency system from Black Ops, which means no wager matches, which is a poor idea in my view. I'm not saying I'm not gonna a get this game, its just not as much a priority as Battlefield, Gears of War, Uncharted, Skyrim, and Assassins Creed.

BF3 fanboys, dont quit your day job, dont quit one once you get it either.. MW3 has more preorders then any other game, so ya it beats BF3 with recorded numbers.. idc if a thousand of you say you hate it, most of the gaming industry prefers MW3 over BF3, also another thing is, BF3 is just a wanna be MW3 and i dont give a crap if you down vote my comment.. well guess what im an adult and i dont care about your opinion, grow up or shut up!

Wonder why they felt the need to put this out so soon? I mean this is supposed to be the launch trailer, not a teaser for a game being launched in a couple weeks.

It's funny people don't want to take into consideration the changes that have been made. Hell, even BF3 took some steps back, why can't I destroy all the buildings in a level? It's one of the features everyone keeps bragging about. From the 2 maps I've played( caspian and metro) the destruction is quite underwhelming. With that said, I'll be getting BF3 for PC and MW3 for ps3, both games look very fun and I don't believe they even have the same thing going for them besides being an FPS with modern guns.

It's amazing, everybody supporting MW3 gets voted down on it's own video and BF3 fans get thumbs up like crazy. CoD is a good game but there community is getting much worse. I will probably only get it to see how the story will end, but that's about it.

I love how everyone on G4 is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY biased...come on now...stupid comments for BF3 that get +8 and one or two that just say they can't wait for the game...and its at -3...AND THE TRAILER JUST CAME OUT A COUPLE OF HOURS A GO!!!...I love how most of you have probably NEVER played a Battlefield game, or maybe a Call of Duty game and just want to hate on people...
Look at what BF3 has done...new engine...THAT'S IT...and for the people that "know" all about Battlefield, you should know that vehicles have ALWAYS been in Battlefield and in the last couple of installments destructible environments have been in the game...so the only thing new is the engine it's being ran on, and that dosn't even deal with the actual game...
Modern Warfare 3...little tweaks to the engine...a campaign story already adding on to a very good campaign, co-op mode that has Survival Mode, multi-player that has a new pointstreak system, new pointstreaks, Call of Duty: Elite embedded into the game, new guns, guns that were great and brought back to the series, new perks, PERKS THAT WERE REMOVED BECAUSE OF ANNOYANCE LEVEL, attachements, maps, new gun rank system, new prestige system...SOOOOOO...what about the changes Battlefield have done?

Every year I lose a little more respect for the vocal section of the gaming community, making judgements and passing proclamations on games you haven't actually played, voicing your arrogant opinions like they are the be-all and end-all definitions of what is "good". Not to mention talking about a trailer like it has any bearing on how entertaining a game is. People, that's like saying graphics matter more than the story or the characters in a 60+ hour long RPG.
