The first group of speakers for DICE 2012 has been announced, and it includes Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki, Richard Hilleman, chief creative director, Electronic Arts six time Grammy winner Glen Ballard and former SEAL Team 7 member Isaac C. Gilmore. That's what I call speakers, people.
“The D.I.C.E. Summit has been characterized by great topics and memorable presentations and an unparalleled networking experience,” said Martin Rae, president, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. “We’re looking forward to again presenting a stage where the leading creative minds of the interactive entertainment fields can inspire and push the intellectual envelope before their peers.”
DICE, the Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain Summit, is a huge interactive entertainment conference bringing together the video game designers, developers and business leaders from around the world to discuss the state of the industry, its trends and the future. The event will take place at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, February 8-10, 2012, and feature a line-up of industry leaders, decision makers and visionaries from the disciplines that are shaping the future of interactive entertainment. Discounted, early bird registration for the D.I.C.E. Summit began on Monday, October 17, 2011, and will continue through November 7, 2011... so hurry up and register. Check out the official site for more information on the summit and for pre-registration.

Along with interesting speakers, the 2012 D.I.C.E. Summit is the home of the 15th annual Interactive Achievement Awards on February 9, 2012, where industry leaders and members pay tribute and recognize the individuals and games that contribute to the growth of the interactive entertainment business. In other words: Awards are awarded and accolades are given to deserving games. Comedian, actor and game enthusiast Jay Mohr will be returning for his seventh year as host.
