This week we want to try something different: Bribery. During the course of the show we're going to use several of your questions. The best one will win a mystery prize! What is it? A mystery.

I am a prior a Marine, and Battlefield 3 is about marines, so I know that we say oorah, and not hooah (army). I don't feel disrespected by this, it just upsets me that a game as well done and researched as battlefield 3, specifically as far as how realistic the Marines are portrayed during combat, would miss such an important key to what it means to be a marine. How could an oversight as obvious as this be missed? If dice is trying to make a realistic shooter revolving around marines, then it's their duty to get it as right as possible, and hooah instead of oorah is a huge mistake to have over looked. Someone should be in line for a serious ass chewing for this one.

Before actually reviewing a game, how do you choose who will be reviewing it. Do you choose someone who is a fan of the series or genre due to their enthusiasm and familiarity of that play style, or do you choose someone who is unfamiliar or does not like that specific genre due to their unbiased and untainted opinions.

hay Adam!! read this. I am a software engineering student at Southern Poly tech in Ga. The numerical scores are coming from the software developers believe it or not. There are two systems that are being used 'Function point' and the other is 'COCOMO'. Both system strive to take a project and some how place a number of measure on what is being done. ether by lines of code, bugs, goals, person hrs, buget, etc. Then taking all that data and plug it into a formula that spits out a number that says weather the work is bad or good. a link to power point is below so that you can read it yourself.

In regards to the new wow expansion pack I personally see it as a sign of blizzard failing to grow with its customer base as they get older (im 29). I dont find anything very appealing from this announcement just more signs of dumbing down of the original levelling mechanics, pokemon style mini game's and an asian theme which just screams free to play asian market to me. Also all the people i have played with over the years range from the age of 20 - 40. None of them feel this expansion pack is aimed at them either and have next to no interest in it.

What are your thoughts on this ?

    My question is for Adam..
Do you think people like myself will NOW consider you a hypocrite for your recent Soapbox about the scoring system of games, movies, etc. considering you WORK for a show that does JUST THAT??!!

Ok... I had just finished watcing Sessler's soapbox and I certainly agree with Adam. The outrage over him giving Uncharted a 4/5 really disgusted me. First off why is 4/5 bad? Second I don't care about scores or grades and there are certainly titles I will get regardless of what you or anyone else says ( uncharted 3, Skyrim, InFamous). My question is: Have you ever thought of just getting rid of the rating system altogether and just review the game? Basically what you're doing now just no whatever out of 5.

How come we never hear that the single player campaign of a video game feels tacked on? I could argue that most military shooters specially CoD have campaigns that almost feel like an afterthought cause most of the resources are being put into the multiplayer.

There is a huge problem with the rating system we have, but its there and it certainly makes a difference. I myself just seeing that 4/5 pop up when I clicked got very heated and I havent even played the game yet! Uncharted has become that franchise that you are going to defend and side with because it has touched a good deal of people. Just the way it seems to focus on cinematic story telling through gameplay has really resonated with gamers. It had so much hype that a 4/5 just seems to deflate that and has you saying "hey, hey, hey hold on now." The game comes out next week and I'm still excited to play and experience the game for myself. I have no doubt that its going to be fun and I guess I can judge for myself(which is what I do anyways). Reviews just come in handy on games that you may be on the fence about(something like a battlefield 3). Because they are huge investments of time and money.

I do have a question though. Do games yall review in a franchise have to exceed there predicesors to get that allustriuous goldstar 5/5? Such as if the next Batman game to comeout cant quite reach the level of Arkham city, but the game itself is still very good. Just curious.

I was wondering based on Adam's Soapbox segment that if he hates having to assign a number to a review why not go the AOTS route with DVDuesday? That being Buy, Rent, or Pass. Also i like the Pros and Cons list for the games I am on the fence aboot renting, but for games like Uncharted 3 I do read and very much appreciate the hard work the G4 staff puts into them. You guys rock btw.

    Hey Feedback-Crew!
First off: a BIG shout-out to you Kevin! Thanks for not smashing my head Down to China when I nervously approached you during Blizzcon, having forgotten your name in a sudden Black-out! I watch feedback every week, It was so cool walking past the Steel-Series booth, suddenly seeing one of my icons standing there and just getting the oppertunity to Say Hi to you... I deeply regret not getting a picture with you or your autograph.
And shame on you Mr. Sessler! I came All the way from Denmark and Kevin told me you where at Blizzcon and I so wanted you to sign my 'All your bases are belong to us' book! Buhu! I have strange feeling you locked yourself up in the press-area with the Diablo 3 beta and had Jay Wilson going through your questions like the Spanish-inquisition!
Should you still have a heart Mr. Sessler, I would be happy to drop by the G4-office and have you sign it. I'll be leaving the States/LA Thursday evening back to Denmark, but I will do everything to meet you.. Else I will mail you the book for signing, yes, I'm serious!

    Anyway...
While Blizzard has confirmed they are 'looking into consoles', especially with Diablo 3, do you expect Them to enter this generation of consoles or wait till the next? Considering the obstacles ahead (Getting Battle.net on XBL, Blizzard's 'it's done when it's done' philosophy which killed SC:Ghost, control-schemes ect.), wouldn't they try to lobby their interrest to the Big 3 and lay the Ground-work for the next-gen? Who wouldn't want Blizzard on their platform?

Also, while E3 is still a BIG player in the game-market, specially in the Way of bringing the consumer and media to the Game-makers and Console-manufactores focus.
Could you see other companies, like EA, Activision/Blizzard or even Valve hosting their own conventions like Blizzcon?
Blizzard once said That though they are losing money on Blizzcon, the attention it gets from the media and public is priceless.
Just look at the past weeks: everyone speculated just as much what Blizzard was going to announce, As people speculated about the next Apple Pressconference.
We already have Blizzcon, this year we saw CoD-con and the gran-daddy Quakecon (although the later is proberly gonna be re-branded 'Bethesda-Con' next year I've heard), could the gaming-Convention-scene support more and possible 'steal' the Big-thunder from E3?
Do we even need theese conventions? Should we just tell Blizzard to stop theese fan-fest which cost 175 US$ Per. Ticket, not including Transport All the Way from Denmark and rejoin the E3 Line-up? (side note: This was my first Blizzcon and I freaking Loved it! It was Expensive, but WAY worth it!)
    When do we get G4CON?

What do you Think of the 'WoW-annual' Pass?
A genius fan-service or a Way to keep the sheep inside the fence, fearing they might wanna cross the Road to TOR-Farm and stay there?

Keep up the great work people (: !

People seem to be loosing their minds over the Uncharted 3 review. Putting aside for a moment that the vast majority of negative comments being made are completely ridiculous, I was hoping the panel could go into some detail as to why you have to assign a numeric score at all. Adam did a soapbox this week where he explained his disdain for them. The implication being that he does it because he has to. That being the case, why? What is keeping a site like G4 from just getting rid of numeric scores?

As discussed on Adam's soapbox this week what are your opinions on game review scores, how the review scores are used for Metacritic, and even game companies?

With the recent soapbox and all the negative feedback no pun intended. With reviewing games one understands that with like any other form of entertainment, it really matters on personal preference. That being said when it comes to sequels at one point do you as reviewers go back and see if previous titles hold up to the next chapter in said game series. Or do you treat them as individule as possible and the same being said about dlc.

Many members of the media predicted that the surefire announcement Blizzard would make at Blizzcon was a solid release date for Diablo 3. Now that Blizzcon has come and gone with no such release date announced, and in fact very little announced in the way of the title at all, how do you feel about the decidedly Blizzard-esque tactic of ambiguity?

Moreover, I was wondering what you feel that Blizzard is still doing what they set out to achieve when they throw this party. It seems that each year they offer less and less actual news regarding the products their fans clamor for, and more (for lack of a better term) empty sensationalism. If this is a con put on by the company as a service to their fans, do you think they're giving the fans what they want in the experience. (To the point that this is the first time in 4 years that I did not make the trip myself, despite the almost unbearable anticipation I hold in my heart for Diablo 3.)

    Hi Feedback Crew!

I just finished my play through of Batman Arkham City and I was wondering this: Did any of you find it awesome that there is a part in the game where Batman is attacked by a shark and instead of using a clever gadget or something, you are allowed as Batman to punch a shark in the face?

Hey guys, last time you met, you had asked what would the moderen RPG be? With games like Diablo 3 and Skyrim coming out, and game from Japan such as Final Fantasy XIII-2, what really defines the genre "RPG" nowadays because to be honest, I cannot even define this towards the stated RPG's I play now.

Also, Do you feel that DLC has become game developers 'third leg' to stand on? I feel like developers nowadays are using DLC as an excuse for incomplete games, not alone to get money for other things like add-ons, locks portions to the discs and etc... What do we have to do, or what would have to change in order for us to go back to, Everything's provided for maximum fun, and DLC actually being added content, or do you think game disc will become the beginning of the adventure, and later you'll have to download the rest in segments as they are completed?

Also...be honest... what do you think of the upcoming Sonic game? Hrhr.

I have recently read the Uncharted 3 Review, i believe i know the true reason why the review wasn't as well recieve as it could of been, mainly because naughty dog didn't take a step foward insteed just push out the same game with some improvement. Do you believe that this is the reason why it fail, or was due to the hope that this would be as refreashing as Uncharted 2 when it first came out?
