Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is bound to be one of this fall's biggest releases. The developers have remained pretty tight lipped on details. GameTrailers was able to get some new information out of them though, about all three aspects of the game.
First up, they walked us through major parts of a campaign level set in the London Underground. The traditional Call of Duty epic set-pieces are very firmly set in place, with the action transitioning from the actual subway cars to the station before eventually heading top-side again. I know I can't wait to get my hands on the campaign and finish the story.
Check out the new info about Spec Ops mode and DLC news after the jump.
While a lot of the focus has been on the Survival mode in Spec Ops, GameTrailers got to look at one of the missions in the more traditional Spec Ops mode. The mission "Little Bros" has the two players working their way through a building, with one giving helicopter support while the other has sniper support. The Mission mode looks more or less like the Spec Ops in MW2, so fans of that mode will be instantly comfortable there. Plus players will be able to level up their character in Spec Ops mode now separately from the competitive multiplayer mode, for both the Survival and Mission modes.
The bulk of players excited for MW3 are no doubt looking forward to the multiplayer experience. Players got their hands on at the recent Call of Duty XP event, and anticipation is certainly building. We finally have a better idea of what players will be using Call of Duty Elite for now too. Subscribers will be given early access to the forthcoming Map Packs, piecemeal for free, while non-subscribers have to wait for the whole pack to be released. Also hinted at was the possibility of single player DLC, potentially looking at prequel style add-ons. As a fan, I can't wait to see if this game delivers on all fronts. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 comes out November 8.
