Here's a brief heads-up for you PlayStation 3 owners who like to shoot virtual things online with friends. Payday: The Heist, Overkill Software's co-op-driven first-person shooter, will be released on PlayStation Network next week, on October 18.
The game allows up to four players to participate in six different elaborate heists in a variety of settings. You break in, steal your loot and make your getaway, all amidst a hail of unfriendly bullets. The game features persistent character progression too, so you'll only become a more effective criminal over time. Good for you.
I've seen the game a couple of time and it looks like a lot of fun. That $19.99 price tag isn't too shabby either. The game is a PS3 console-exclusive, though a PC release date announcement should be coming soon.

okay... what the hell. I went to go download it just now and it ISN'T EVEN AVAILABLE. Is this $20 I'll never get back? I give it until tomorrow before I demand a refund that I know I won't get anyways.

Releases on Batman Day. If I ever pick this one up, it certainly won't be on the 18th. Wish those who do a lot of fun though.
