With Men in Black 3 coming to theaters next spring, I suppose it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. Activision confirmed today in a press release that a Men in Black video game will be released for consoles and handhelds next year at around the same time as the Sony Pictures film.
It's not clear if the game will tie in with the movie in any way or simply tell its own story within the MiB universe. Actually, there's not much that's clear at this point. The press release makes no mention of the game's story (though it will be "original"), developer or features.
Activision community guy Dan Amrich has two screenshots posted on his website... but that's it. He also says not to expect anything more than the announcement from New York Comic Con, which kicks off today. There aren't too many months to go between now and next spring, however, so expect to hear more soon.

A MIB game? Sure, I'll give it a try. Wait, it's Activision? Um, never mind. Why would they give such a hard game to make to a publisher known for wrecking good franchises?

hmmmm..... there have been a lot of bad games based on movies, but also a dew that weren't too bad, so for now i'll remain at cautiously optimistic for now and cross my fingers in the hopes of a decent game. Maybe have it as a first person shooter ?... i'll be keeping an eye on things for now.

Liking the pre production graphics. I wish this was open world. but sadly it would be just like activisions new model of games>>>Be Like Cod >>>CASH.... Why cant they just make a Battlezone 3 already

There's a lot of potential with this game if you were simply to play as an agent for MIB. From there the ideas and imagination can run wild with the structure of how things worked in the movie. But like every other movie based game (other than star wars), it will fail hard.
