Xbox Live representative Major Nelson has announced an upcoming public preview of the new Xbox Live dashboard update for selected participants. The preview program will allow Microsoft to test the new dash which will "deliver intuitive navigation, increased responsiveness and improved engagement with Xbox experiences."
Aside from the entertainment partner apps that we mentioned last week, the dashboard features that are included in this update contain:
- New design for integrated Kinect and controller navigation
- New Beacons to play online with friends
- Deeper Facebook integration
- New Cloud Storage for Game Saves and Xbox LIVE Profile (yay!)

Looks a lot like the Playstation's XMB bar. Kind-of like how the 360 slim had physical similarities to the fat PS3. I don't understand why they fell like they have to redesign the dashboard anyway? Sony hasn't.
