Mass Effect 3's elusive co-op multiplayer mode officially has a trailer. The cinematic feat demonstrates how up to four gamers can work together to save the galaxy, 11-waves of enemies at a time.

Many questions about ME3 co-op have been answered. Gamers will be able to customize their character's appearance and weapon loadout. I'll be the hot pink, female Krogan, wreaking havoc on everyone in sight.

Ok, here's the thing, I understand they want to bring in more fans. they want to be able to hook the multiplayer crowd. I get that, fine. hey, it means more money. the problem is, you are doing this on Mass Effect "THREE". you want to bring in a whole new crowd of fans to a story intensive, single player franchise on the THIRD and FINAL chapter? Fans who were not interested in the previous two games because of lack of MP. A feature that is still not on the previous two games that set up the story for this game. I guess I'm the only one that sees a problem with this.

Feels weird to be witnessing the turning point of a company.

Where were you when Bioware jumped the shark?

i like this idea. i dont play alot of multiplayer games because im not good at thim i always thought me gameplay in a death-match would be fun i like the idea of co-op in me3 i personally cant wait. now i have to say that THIS WILL NOT NEGATIVELY AFFECT THE QUALITY LENGTH OR STORY OF THE SINGLE PLAYER MODE. bioware tells great stories and do a great job of telling them i have complete faith in them

It truly is a sad day for Mass Effect fans.
But hey, at least I can get my ass pounded by Wrex while I should be saving the Galaxy.

Odd how 75% of tRUE ME funs were passionatly opposed to MP a month ago yet here most want it all of a sudden? Maybe EA's got the drones visiting these sites to whip up support amongst the fans? and before you dismiss that as paranoid thinking remember sony invented a film critic to write good reviews about there crap films so this sort of thing does happen!

Mass Effect MP means the SP part will be shortened by 4-6 hours. FAIL

I'm sort of underwhelmed with the whole thing. They had a chance to make a really fun co-op experience with this, and instead they chose to force it to fall in line with the single-player story, forcing it to be restricted by what happens in that.
Anyone remember Lord of the Rings: 3rd Age? Remember Monster Mode? Or how about a few of the DBZ: Budakai games and their what-if scenarios? Those kinds of scenarios were the most fun in those games because of the interesting and unique viewpoint they brought.

Honestly... who would want to play as "generic squad fighting generic enemies to vaguely help war effort"? Especially when one of those what-if scenarios could be something akin to playing a tag-team of rebels through a mission after the successful reaper invasion of the galaxy, struggling to save a captive and dieing Shepard? Or playing as either Saren, or elite troops of his, and helping him in his assault of the Citadel, or on Virmire?

If they do this, I want to see split screen action. I hate MP that is strictly online. Strictly online MP is absolutely ridiculous.

So now I can be a Drell Infiltrator?! Yes!! That's so awesome.

Drell have ninja like speed, stealth, and reflexes via how they are built genetically. Sure, they are dying of Kepral's Syndrome but I thought Drell were awesome. A female pink Krogan going insane on the battle field? I know who I want on my team. I only wonder if people can become Geth.

You know, I have a sneaking thought that this is how they will continue the Mass Effect Universe. You create your character and dominate though multiplayer. Then we will see another game from Bioware where you can continue the story of your Multiplayer Character. Not a bad idea, Bioware.

He said you can still get the full single player experience without multiplayer. You know don't have to play co-op if you don't want to. I'm excited for this, I think Bioware knows what they're doing and they'll prove the skeptics wrong.

The confirmation that this was not competitive was relieving, but I'm still on the fence. If I had heard the phrase "Mass Effect co-op" before any of this was revealed, I would have thought missions or a co-op campaign - along the lines of the separation between single-player and co-op in Splinter Cell. This not being the case and despite what BioWare has said, I'm still getting the vibe that this will prove to be an unnecessary addition to a game that would have been just as good without it.

That host is an incredible tool. They don't have anyone better on their staff to host or write less cheesy lines like "keeping your finger on the pulse"?
