Minecraft Introducing Dragons: First Look

November is an obscenely busy month, but I expect all movement in my world to stop for a full 24 to 72 hours when Mojang unveils the final release version of Minecraft. Updates have been coming less and less frequently as more elaborate features are added to the game, with the latest Adventure Update even being broken into two pieces, the second part of which has yet to arrive.

It's not going to, either, at least not in the way it was originally intended to. Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson took to his blog earlier today to let fans know that the plan now is to unleash weekly updates leading to the game's official release. There's a catch though, as there always seems to be: these updates will be aimed at "advanced players," much like other pre-release update releases for the game.

Notch also confirmed that yes, a dragon is "finally" being added to Minecraft. You can all rest easy now.
