Xbox 360's crown jewel of the Fall, Gears of War 3, isn't without its flaws. The game is reportedly causing freezing issues, forcing gamers to restart their consoles. The problem seems to affect the "loading game mode" screen when player try to play Horde 2.0 split screen with two gamer profiles. After the error occurs one of the player's profiles will be altered, keeping them from entering another match.
A "Super Moderator" on the Epic forums has heard the cry of pain from Gears gamers. While Epic seems to be aware of the problem, they are still trying to find it's source. A fix has not been issued.
This is definitely a bummer for gamers, like myself, who often play local co-op. If split-screen is your mode of choice, you might want to hold off until this issue has been resolved. We'll keep you posted.

I wasnt trash talking the xbox all I was saying was that gears might run better on the Ps3.
Cause personally I love the xbox it has the best games and the Ps3 barley has a hand full.

WOW this is funny, all this back and fourth between ps3 and xbox 360 owners, i say to each there own! i have both systems and i remember the ps3 kept freezing on me while i was playing sonys pride and joy "uncharted" does that mean the ps3 is crap...no that means there was a glitch and it was fixed with a patch, thats wats going to happen with gears. people just try to find what ever they can to bash the other system!

First off this issue is not an xbox360 issue it is something to do with Gears itself and corrupting profiles. Not only that but it is not just Horde that can mess up your game. Once these freezing issue occurs you are not able to play Gears 3 at all! Not if you get a new disc or console so be very careful if you plan on playing Gears 3...it could happen to you!

I've actually had it freeze up on me when me and a friend were playing the campaign on co-op. It went to a load screen between chapters and never came back so I had to restart the machine. So it looks like this glitch isn't just when playing split screen and on Horde.
Although it's only happened once and I've played many, many hours since with no trouble so I'm not too worried about it.

..doesn't surprise me much, the Crap Box 360 ( aka x-box 360) is one of the glitchiest game consoles ever made.. glad I got a PS3 which hasn't had any problems that iv'e ever seen outside of the PS network thing, but that wasn't the fault of the system itself.

WOW! All this back and forth with ps3 vs.360..lol. I have had 2 ps3s crap out on me in the last 3 years. I have had my xbox sence 2008 and I have had no Issues. Does that mean my 360 is bettr? Not really, just been lucky I guess. I think thoses 2 ps3s were just lemons. I do however think that the 360 has a better online communitity hands down. If your a true all around gamer, you will have the best of both worlds. They both have pros and cons. With that beong said, Im going to play some Rage. Take a deep breath and get your game on!!

OK, what facts did you actually "use"? The only real fact that you really used was that ID, a PC developer, developed a game with the consoles more in mind than the PC, but frankly most of the PC glitches were caused by the video card manufacturers not by the development process.
Other than that fact, which really didn't have any real connection to you point, you really didn't have any discussable argument or point other than to dis the 360 and to say that you prefer both the PC and the PS3 over the 360.

What is up with all the flaming-fanboy wars. It is really irritating. When ever one system or game has an issue all the other fanboys come out to furl massive amounts of crap on top of the problem (via insults and offensive comments), specially when they have their own mountain of crap to deal with on their favorite product. Here is something none of you fanboys may not be aware of: NO PLATFORM IS BETTER THAN ALL THE REST!!!! And yes that also includes the PC. The only thing you can say is that any platform is better than the WII.
To PS3 fanboys, this is NOT a hardware glitch, this a bug in the Gears of war 3 code which is causing this error. So throwing better hardware at the glitch will not somehow make it magically go away, like a magical fairy sprinkling you with its magical dust is somehow going to somehow make any less of a douchebag.
