The two iconoclasts you see above are Alex Pardee and Skinner, also known as The Butcher Kings, and they are a part of the No Friends artists collective, a group that creates art people actually like. I am posting about them because I think you should go see the show they have coming up at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles between October 6 and 29.
You will like the art, I promise you, even if you are one of those people who is all, "I don't like art."
You will like the art because it is funny and because it is good and because it is about things that you enjoy and care about, like movies, television and celebrities. Plus, the Butcher Kings features many depictions of penises in their paintings.
The Butcher Kings will be showing off 80 new paintings and drawings at 1988. These paintings are affordable -- you could take one home and hang it in your living room. I suggest the one below, Juggalobot, but the rest of the Butcher Kings' work is equally cool.
