Shooter fans have a lot to be happy about this fall with the release of two of possibly the biggest games ever: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. The big question is - which game will win the battle to be the biggest? X-Play's Blair Herter walks you through the battleground of MW 3 vs. Battlefield 3.

i am getting tired of all these fights about which game is better, who gives!! the only people who should be fighting are the companies. play the game that you want to play on the console that you want to play on. both will be great games, both have morons playing them, both have nice people playing them. both have cons both have pros. Tired of people saying "ooooo there the much different games, there is no war between them, it's like apples and oranges." Wrong, these games/companies are at war and there competing for best game. True MW3 will most likely sell more this time around. But that doesn't mean that it will be the better game. BF3 is doing things that we are not use to or seen before. When you get down to it they will be both be great games, but BF3 is offering us so much more and will clearly be the better game and potentially the more sold game in about 3 years. As stated by EA

cod may win against BF in story mode, but BF will pwn COD in online mode. why? cos BF3 online play is something people wanted for a long time. a huge battlefield with all sorts of toys to be used.

Now tell me one thing please! What is InfinityWard doing to earn the chance to be better than Battlefield 3? Oh they added new guns! No wait, they didn't. Just some new guns from the same brand! They added new maps, cool, so did every map pack on the face of this planet. Maybe they added some new game modes? Hate to brake it to you #%$ holes Spec Ops was in MW 2. But it's a survival mode you say! Now that's thinking out of the box now isn't it! Nope. I wasn't happy when I played the Battlefield 3 beta now that's for sure and the deprivation of vehicles was slightly lazy I will say but come on! The MW franchise had the COD base to use when Battlefield threw them selves out there and did the best they could. Glitches can be fixed and bugs can be repaired, so don't give up on Battlefield just because of some flaws. I have no respect for COD for just letting s%$# producers like Activision sexualy assault the franchise and if your one of those <12 year old unintelligent failure that can't see this don't bother liking or disliking this comment because no one cares. I have exercised my first amendment to let true intelligent fans of the game that throws it self into the darkness of COD fans and shines threw no matter how much hate they get. Keep up the good work Battlefield producers and show them you can reach the zenith of even the mightiest mountains, even Call of Duty.

Why BF 3 wins? Call of duty and its streaks like "death proof". Oh yeah and CODs engine they've used in the last 5 games, and same audio, same weapons, same story, same...... right yeah MW3 is the same as all the other COD games since COD 4.
MW3 will probably win the sales race because there are people out there who are blind to quality games and companies that actually make an effort to give there customers something new. Just look at all the people that continue to buy the Madden games. Well just replace Madden with Call of Duty and its the same thing.

I like Battles F. open world and vehicles but i like Moderns. controlles and the way u play..............They need to make a game that is a combination of both.

Im going to get both but as far as being able to talk to people on both I WILL NEVER TURN THE VOICE CHAT ON FOR CoD......CoD fans ruin the game because they want to talk smack and make strange noises the whole game or better yet force us to listen to them talk to there friends the whole game......never want to prestige......and just over all have a low IQ (as far as i can tell).......plus all that money for what Battlefield does for free for the past 5 years doesn't work for me either.

battlefield 3 is the best when it comes to multiplyer...and campaign. but hey i am going to get both. although for me i like battlefield 3

Im the best! thats why MLG wont use BF & sticks to the weak garbage... no but really i dont like MW, i loved the 1st then got pissed when i realized the rest where the same... thank god for gamefly cuz ida been pissed if i spent all the money and map packs. i like BF always have since modern combat on the original Xbox... But buy youre game do ya thing dont let anybody else sway you, its ur money spend it who u see fit.... then let me get some if ya got any extra

What EA needs to do is drop the Battlefield 3 price to $19.99 so it will be a no-brainer to buy, just like how ESPN NFL 2K5 did to Madden in 2005. Oh the irony...
