Electronic Arts can't seem to get a handle on its Dead Space 3 development staff. For the third time in as many weeks, new information seems to have emerged about the course of the technically unconfirmed game's story. Needless to say, spoiler alert.
The info again comes from Siliconera, which is almost certainly drugging the food in Visceral Games' cafeteria to bring us these details. We learned from the last leak that much of the game will be set on an ice planet. The planet is called Tau Volantis, and Isaac is sent there to rescue a woman and get her back to Mars.
The spoilers get heavier from here, so beware.
If you're wondering why Isaac would once again put himself in a dangerous situation after his many run-ins with the Necromorphs, it's because he's apparently a wanted man. The government has a warrant out for his arrest and this rescue op, on which he's accompanied by returning Dead Space character Ellie, offers him an alternative to facing these charges.
It seems that Isaac's mental state in Dead Space 3 has deteriorated to the point that he's constantly being tailed by a "Shadow Isaac," who takes basically any opportunity to act like a sarcastic jerk toward his Other. This Shadow Isaac will take on a physical form in the game's world.
It also seems that the Necromorphs will be back (as if there was any doubt), and that Isaac will at some point come across another marker, like the one seen in the first game.

I think a Co op campaign may be the way to go. Have Isaac's campaign working separate from a multiplayer campaign like that of the multiplayer of DS2. objective based squad play just with some story added to it. They can add so much story that way. Dlc packs can run rampant and really allow a game of this caliber to flourish! I love the series and don't want to see it over done or ruined by some stupid tag along RE5 remake. There is potential in a squad based game here but first it needs to finish the Clark story.

OMG this would be a good story to play as and I think Isaac will fall in love with that girl and she somehow the cure to his Isaac Shadow and if he does die there the next character name should be Dylan

I think Isaac should have an epic ending battle with "Shadow Isaac", and then have to save like the entire planet, and die a epic heroic death. Now i know we have been through alot with Isaac, but it doesnt have to stop with Isaac. What if Ellie were to survive and be the main character in the next dead space game? I think it would be cool, and Isaac would always be remembered as the bravest, toughest, necromorph fighter ever.

Co-op can work in a survival horror setting, as long as it's done right. Resident Evil 5 messed it over because that was primarily an action game catering to the likes of Gears of War, but limited the control scheme to the original "tank movement" to appeal to the die hard RE fans, fooling them into believing that they were playing a legitimate horror title. In the end, RE5 took the Obama route in that it tried to please EVERYONE, and the end result was an RE game with an identity crisis. But that doesn't mean that co-op (both online and off) cant work in a suspenseful and depressing setting. If you've played the add-on content "Lost in Nightmares", you'd know what I mean. My point is a simple one: don't assume that just because one group of people messed it up, that it can't be done at all. It just takes the right kind of minds.

Looking forward to see what the developers will bring to the creative side this time. Hopefully the game continues to be scary and heart pounding as well. Also, graphically and seeing the continuation of the story line...

Man I hope the game ends up single player. Co-op killed Resident Evil 5. Let's hope Ellie stays a story element. Don't ruin the atmosphere.

New location, More enemy types besides Necromorphs, Issac is back, I'm excited. The only thing that can make this bad is if it turns out there's co-op during the campaign and it's just one disk.

Iiiiiiinteresting! I kinda figured that the first spoiler would happen from what we heard at the end of the first game, however going to that chilly place for a rescue op, that came as a surprise.
Aside from our Badass and crazy Isaac, who else could survive the necromorph outbreak?
