Minecraft has been available to one and all in some form since 2009, but everything changes on November 18. That's the day the game will be released, as creator Markus "Notch" Persson himself confirmed on his The Word of Notch blog yesterday.
Before that release happens, fans can expect to see "two more major features" added to the game. Notch has set a deadline of October 18 for these add-ons, to give himself and his team at Mojang a month-long window to focus on squashing any bugs. New development on future updates will then continue after the 11/18 release.
