Cheats and Walkthroughs

I've been carrying a torch for Aliens: Infestation for awhile now. As you should too, as the Nintendo DS game mashes the Aliens franchise together with a unique take on Metroidvania gameplay.
Death in the game is permanent for whichever Marine bites the dust, but there are 20 individual soldiers in the game (19 are playable), some of whom need to be found and added to your squad. WayForward Technologies put a lot of effort into creating backstories for each of these characters, a process explored in a new dev diary.
The all-text rundown from game director Adam Tierney and lead designer Cole Phillips is posted at AvPGalaxy.net. The write-up describes the process of developing a backstory for each character, with portrait art for the 20 designed by Marvel Comics artist Chris Bachalo.
The devs also discuss the overall writing process for the game's script, which was rewritten 18 times over the course of development. The story remains fundamentally the same across all of the scripts, but each one is built around character-specific dialogue. In other words, the game will ship with 19 separate views on the story, which you'll see unfold in parts as you step into the shoes of different characters.
Sega is all set to release Aliens: Infestation on October 11. You can follow the source link to check out a few of the individual character bios.

If nothing else could ever take the Metroid-stye gameplay to apply it to their own game, it should be the Alien franchise. Makes good sense. Mad props to WayForward Tech...and Chris Bachalo? Nice!

If this was an XBLA title, I'd be all over it.
