Break it down. Stop. Feedback time. Yes, it's true Feedback, has decided to grace us with its presence. This week your expert panel is Adam Sessler, Jessica Chobot, Stephen Johnson and Leah Jackson.
It happened, hell froze over, pigs are flying and Star Wars: The Old Republic has a release date. Is a late December release date going to help or hurt the MMORPG? Other news items include Dota 2 and Battlefield 3 beta and PS3 exclusives.
The game of the week was Diablo 3's beta. Blizzard's next game is set for a 2012 release and is currently in beta. Is it shaping up to be the next great thing or more of the same?

Another theory for the odd Old Republic release date could be due to the Star Wars themed 360 and Kinect game being pushed into next year. Not that the products rely on eachother, but a simultaneous holiday launch for all 3 could have been cool. Since the release date is still up in the air on the 360 products, they may have had to scramble to change plans.

Thanks guys, entertaining as always. Shame to hear of Jessica's problems online.

How are you so goddamn cute Leah? Just too adorable.

Is it just me or is Leah standing!? If she isn't, than I need my cup of coffee sooner than I thought

so where are we on getting permission to make the feedback theme song official? Do we need to get lawyers involved?

It's so simple in regards to the SWTOR release date on December 20th. It allows the teenagers who get the game for Christmas to not lag too far behind the adult players who will get it on the release date, creating more community, the point of MMORPG's, while still splitting the massive launch into three days - early access, official release date, and Christmas holiday. Not to mention, it is still getting released this year, then.

Is Leah Jackson standing or sitting? I did not realize she is that short.

I think part of the reason for the SWTOR launch date is related to the early access for pre-orders. I could be off on this number but don't they have over a million pre-orders all getting early access based apon when you placed your order. It sounds like they will start that early December (2-3 weeks prior to launch). Creating a soft launch of the game while still getting the sale in before the end of the year. It creates a nice game support buffer and a strong financial closing for the fiscal year. All under the guise of rewarding early adopters.

Damn, i wasn't the first post, lol
Epic show!
Great to see Jessica Chobot back. I have to agree with everybody about enjoying the longer feedback.
Thank you for rambling more and not cutting yourself short to keep it near 40 mins.
You extra work is noted and appreciated.

Alright, another Feedback that went nearly for an hour! This should be the norm because a lot of people like me will be bitchin if Feedback goes short and also with a lot of great games coming out in the next few months, there's lot to talk about.
I too have to join in with the people saying it's weird that Leah had to stand for the entire Feedback. Couldn't anyone get an intern to get on his/her hands and knees and be a chair for an hour. I mean, G4 interns have gone through a lot worse than being a human chair i.e. shaving Blair Herter's chest.

Great show! Everyone was great and the discussions were really interesting.

Plenty of people on this show and no one knows that EuroGamer Expo is in London, and GamesCom is in Germany...
They should talk about the weather.

Great show folks, and thanks for answering my question. :)
I was invited to play the Alpha for BF:3, and i've been playing the closed Beta for a couple of days now. Trust me (on PC at least) this IS a Beta, not a demo.
The number of bug's and glitches that are showing up is pretty sizeable. Nothing major, but lots of niggly little issues.
Given that this has got to be pretty close to the release code, as the game must be due to go Gold within the next week or so, i can see a huge patch coming on Day 1.
As an old BF player (all the way back to BF:1942) i'm really enjoying the gameplay, however i was a little disapointed that they haven't used the opportunity to show off what a 64 slot server/map plays like.

Once again just proves that Feedback is the best webshow going on G4 or interweb right now about video games. I mean not only do we get some amazing coverage on the latese and greatest. We get people who have honest opinion's and thoughts on said games and just on life in general. I swear the powers that be at G4 need to really look at this and see this is what the Gaming public wants or what I should say needs for the Hardcore to the Casual From the single player expericene to the Multiplayer! Feedback Videogames!!!

In regards to reviews of games that have heavy Multiplayers and also have single player - such as the Battlefield, Call of Duty, Gear of Wars, etc... perhaps have two seperate reviews. Specifically for the single player and call it the (something to the effect of) This is the Single Player Review versus the Multiplayer review and purposely point out that Multiplayer review will take about a week longer (to get general feed back and info on the multiplayer). Thsats my 2 cents.

hope Jessica makes it a habit of showing up on feedback she's a nice addition and thank's Leah you explain MMO's very emotionally that I can tell your very passionate about that form of gaming, I may just have to start playing MMO's myself now you describe it so well.....Can't wait for next week show and adam's decision about the game RAGE!!
