Rockers and/or roller take note: The Foo Fighters have been announced as the headlining band at this year's Blizzcon. The Foos will close out the con that takes place October 21-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
"Wow, I need to get tickets!" you may be saying. Well, sorry, Mr. Hypothetical Person: It's sold out. But you can still catch it at home by ordering a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket to watch it on the internet or on DirecTV.
Opening up the concert will be The Artist Formerly Known as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain, Blizzard's in-house metal band, who are "returning to BlizzCon following a two-year interstellar tour through the Koprulu sector." They will entertain the crowd with a set of both familiar and brand-new songs drawn from the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo universes before turning the stage over to Foo Fighters for the main event.
“There's no better way to cap off two days of gaming entertainment than by blowing the roof off the convention center with an awesome rock concert," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Everyone attending BlizzCon and watching from home can look forward to ending the show with a bang when Foo Fighters bring the house down.”
I'd check it out, but that's raid night.
So who's going?

wow this is ironic...a few days ago on the D3 forum i was just telling everyone that Dave Grohl is a decent drummer but cant write for sh-t.
Sure, Tenacious D put on a great show but foo fighters?...
I mean the only good song he ever wrote was Merigold.
Too bad they couldn't get the RHCP who are from around the same area as Blizzard i do believe. Must've been a 2 year contract thingy with Grohl ;\
oh well guys enjoy your...Everlong?...

Foo Fighters is great band. Besides loving almost all there songs, I love there cover of Arcade Fire's Leave the car running. I'm sure Blizzcon will be fun; though I've never played WOW or Starcraft (it's not that I dislike those games). I find the reason I wont try WOW or Starcaft is the same reason I wont try crack, super addictive.

Wow, the Foos are probably my all-time favorite band. I'm going to see them in November, but I'm still a little jealous for those that get such an amazing combination of Blizzard and Dave Grohl.

Sweet. Glad to see they're hiring some good musicians instead of that Kanye West crap at COD XP.

Saw the Foos at Lollapalooza nearly two months ago. The attendees should look foward to a great show.
