X-Play recently caught up with Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson, and he dropped a little info on the difference between the PC version of the game and the upcoming Xbox 360 port.
"The Xbox version is more focused on arcade-y gameplay and doing things slightly faster," Notch said. "For example, we won't have the same crafting system. They'll probably be tutorials and stuff that makes it easier to play."
Wait tutorials? Easier to play? What kind of nonsense is that? I want 360 gamers to suffer the same initial shock, confusion and multiple deaths I did when I started playing the PC version! That's half the fun.

Minecraft on Xbox:
~ Arcade game
~ Going to be played with controller and have kinect capabilities (not sure to what extent)
~ Playable with friends
~ DLC (Mods...Ex. Aether and yogbox, not sure if u'l have to pay or not and dont know about texture packs, id assume they would add them eventually)
~ If u bought pc version u still have to pay for it on xbox
~ Seeds from PC are some on Xbox
I'm not sure what version of MC is going to be released first...i think either 1.8 Beta or 1...from the Minecon trailers it looks as if there isnt a food bar,,,which i hope there isnt, its kind of annoying to starve

They dident say NO CRAFTING. they said its not the same crafting.
I bet they are going to get rid of the whole positioning part in crafting and allow you to just throw whatever resources into a queue and select what you want to make. Seems better for console players.

Plz give us console gamers the same (or at least not infinite world generation). I have but a mere laptop incapable of the true minecraft.

Wow he changed the release date, it was supossed to be released the same day as Skyrim. I wonder if it has anything to do with Bethesda's beef with him? Or maybe the 360 version is coming out on that date, well whatever the case MORE MINECRAFT!!!

The full version, huh? Can't Wait for that! I always wondered what the game would be like when completed... Also, I can only imagine MC being an arcade purchase... I could be wrong, but that's what I see happening.

That isn't a big surprise. When PC games gets ported to the consoles, they usually get simpler aka streamlined in the process.

Sounds not good. I'm not much of a PC gamer but I can't imagine Minecraft on 360 being better than on PC.

The only thing i truly hope 4 on the 360 is that we'll be able 2 play online with friends without any major glitches
