Early this morning, comical PlayStation adver-person Kevin Butler tweeted a "secret" video that teases...something... for Sony. Check it out:
The commercial is full of PlayStation in-jokes, like the Sweet Tooth van from Twisted Metal, a brief look at Parappa the Rapper, what looks like Ratchet's wrench, and other Sony-specific Easter eggs. It also contains the date 10.5.2011. But what does it mean?
Honestly, your guess is as good as mine, but speculation ranges from a re-launch of PlayStation Home to a simple tease of Sony's upcoming holiday advertising blitz. I'm hoping for the former, but betting on the latter. Until the grateful world finally learns the meaning of these images on the fifth of October, we'll just have the speculate. Feel free to use our comment section below for any speculation you might have.

Lightning's gunblade from final fantasy 13 is on the rack.
That dish at 0:36 with the LBP orb suggests that you will have to pay a small amount for whatever is coming out because it consists of small amounts of currency and valuable items. For example one orb in LBP and one gold coin from the army guy and a few pearls were in there as well.
The patches on the army men's uniforms say AA which probably isn't significant, probably just "army airborne".
On the side part with Pa Rappa there is a motorstorm car in the picture above it, which makes it seem like the photos on the sides are just fond/obscure playstation memories. To the bottom left of the reel on the right between the lamp and the urn/pot at 0:30 there is a black and white picture of a man, not sure what that guy is from, probably a PS1 game.
Lastly at 0:45 it seems that the pillar to the right of the red light looks like the center of a skull, like from between the eyes down to the front teeth of the lower jaw. Might be a new kind of game maybe like Smash bros. but more adult since it will probably involve actual death and not just light shooting off.

!) Revamped PS Home
2) Releases of PS2 games on the PS Store
3) A mashup game that will claim originality, yet has been done 50 different ways.
4) Something everyone is getting excited over knowing nothing, only to be let down cause it's lame.
I'm going for #4

At 00:39 FFXIII Lightning's Blazefire Saber can be seen on the front end of the weapon rack/wall.

It's going to be the Home Update "where players of many different games come together as gamers" But we will have to wait and see.

you can hear a lot of voices coming from that room, and all the game related things around there mean that all the main characters are in there.

1) Dude at the end is definitely Kevin Butler
2) Could be a new IP or revival of an old one. Nearly every reference is about a Sony-exclusive product, but the weapon rack makes me believe it is not a game. It also suggests something any type of gamer would enjoy. Though it sees to be cross-chat related, it's almost impossible to implement that functionality on the PS3. PS Home announcement is more likely, but they don't charge you for Home. All that can be said really is that it is Sony-exclusive and involves so financial transaction

I hope the orb was from legend of Dragoon and not little big planet. But of course we all know it's LBP sigh nothing in that ad campaign for me seeing as I don't like any of the games in it.

Divat Ludus Longe is also written above the door of the mansion. The phrase is Latin and means Play Is By Far the Most Divine.
Could be Implying a new party feature for ps3, where gamers playing all sorts of games are in the same room.
We'll just have to wait and see....

look at 27 sec just as the solders walk in on the right side just behind the dog it looks like a sack boy running the right. parappa the rapper is in a post card just to the right of that chic. at the 30 sec the guy putting the gun down, it looks like those goggles from splinter cell the 3 green lights. and it dose look like kratos at the very end.

I saw Mk.II from MGS4 when they walk in by the dog. I think it might be the day they announce the release day of the vita?

I would guess battlefield 1942 content coming to BF3 by way of DLC.
Otherwise, I would say that has something to do with their new home battle system.
