Enslaved: Odyssey to the West developer, Ninja Theory, has sadly confirmed they have no plans to make a sequel. In an interview with Edge Magazine, Ninja Theory's co-founder commented on the cult-favorite game.
“Enslaved should have done better. Right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time.”
"[But] because that didn't happen we've not expanded to two teams like we intended to. So we've remained a smaller shop. But now we get another chance with DMC."
DMC refers to their next project, the reimanging of Devil May Cry.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was met with critical success. Our own Jake Gaskill wears a homemade Enslaved: Odyssey to the West t-shirt every Friday. It's actually kind of weird, and yes HR does know. Despite being a favorite to some, Enslaved only sold 730,000 copies.
Were you hoping an Enslaved sequel would be made?
