UPDATE: According to the official PlayStation Twitter, Sony "incorrectly reported Final Fantasy 6 & Chrono Trigger are coming to PSN this Tuesday. They are not. We apologize for the error." Both games have been rather comically scratched out of the PlayStation Blog post and have not been given a new release date.
Original Story: Sony has announced that two PlayStation One Classics, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6, are coming to the PlayStation Network (PSN) this week, September 19, 2011. Both role playing games have stood the test of time beautifully and are considered to be some of the best RPGs of their era. In Chrono Trigger you and your party have to travel back and forth through time to change history, while in FF6 you have to fight off an evil Empire with famous Final Fantasy characters Edgar and Terra. No price was listed on the PlayStation blog, but I'd wager each title will cost $9.99
Other games coming to PSN this week are Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Saints Row 2, Resident Evil 4, Burnout Crash (demo), Cubixx HD (demo), Altered Beast, and Bolt.
Are you going to be picking up either of the PSOne Classics? What others would you like to see come to the PSN in the future? Hopefully this means that we'll also see Chrono Cross added in the future as well. Chrono Cross has the best videogame soundtrack ever, in my opinion.
