When Final Fantasy 13-2 releases on January 31 (my birthday!) familiar faces Snow and Hope from Final Fantasy 13 will both be making appearances. As Snow was Serah's love interst in the first game, I'm interested to see how he'll be integrated this time around. As for Hope, I'll just say that I really, really didn't like Hope so I'm not too excited to see him again. Hopefully he's more mature and interesting this time around. Check out the Japanese trailer below to see Hope and Snow's updated character models.
What do you think? Are you excited to see these characters back for the second time in Final Fantasy 13-2, or did you have enough of them the first time around?

I just got a $829.99 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37" HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use PennyJump.com

Seriously what is with the hate here? I see why people don't like Snow and Hope.
Snow- He's corny right down to his blonde hair. But just as many people like that he's young,rebellious, and had a mission.
Hope- Honestly had the best character story in FF13(Alongside Sahz), but he was a kid, and with 99% of all kids that ever have and ever will exist are crybaby's :P. Get over yourselves.
Vannille- Well, honestly I have know idea why people hated her so much..care to explain?Her accent maybe...but that's just wrong :P

As for the stories throughout the game, well they were corny yeah, but does corny deserve so many fan boys raging? If that did than most RPG's new and old wouldn't be liked very well.

Seriously though, by all means give me a well thought out explanation as to why you think FF13 was a bad game.
Ill be completely honest with you. For me FF13 was by far not my favorite game. Did I enjoy playing it? Yes. Did it feel like I was playing a FF game? Yes. Does it have major problems on an RPG standpoint? Huge ones.
:( Seriously guys just mellow out, FF13 might not have been what you wanted it to be. But you need to understand that hard work went into the game and that work needs to be respected.

Honestly really disappointed to hear about this. I couldn't even get through FF13 because I found many of the characters so irritating, Hope especially.

Your not the only FF fab that feels that way. There are many of (and growing every day) that feel the same way. I love FF, but the aesthetics of the game, as well as the dialogue, is getting really stale, really really really stale.
I would like to see Square Enix go away from the same look they have been doing for ever. The h.o.m.o. erotic, emo look with the weird hair do's has to go. Same with the overly dramatic and unnecessarily corny dialogue, but alas, we are talking about Square here, and they will pander to their home market first. There is nothing wrong with that, I just wish they would try something different for a change.
Then again, I'm also the guy that wants Nintendo to do something different and darker with Zelda and Link, and give me something different than a steady diet of the same Mario, Metroid, Zelda ect....

Corny is an understatement. FFXIII, aside from the graphics, just wasn't that good. I feel this one may not be much better. Progress has caused the FF series to move away from the style of RPG I loved most(turn-based) and moved towards the style of RPG I despise most(action) along with 98% of RPGs outside of handhelds. To answer the question, Snow is cool and I'll keep my fingers crossed that Hope just makes a cameo...never to be heard from again.

Am I the only FF fan that thinks FF13 is the corniest game ever? Granted, all FF games have corny moments, but when I played FF13 it was non-stop corny characters and corny dialogue. I was shocked (and disappointed) when I heard they were making FF13-2. I wish they'd make FF15 and lay off the corny dialogue/characters. Am I the only one? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Yeah, still likely going to pick this up used. I may still be out cash for both games, but SE will only see the $60 I paid for the first game then halved between the two. Seems fitting given the first game only delivered half of what a FF game is supposed to entail and this title will likely follow suit. Sad.

I loved Snow but I really hope he comes back as a bad guy after Serah possibly cheats on him or something along those lines. I think he would make a better boss than playable character in this game.

I thought hope was awesome in the first one. In my opinion he had the most compelling story line, with his mom dying and him blaming Snow. Then having to come to terms with it all throughout the game. He was one of my favorites for that very reason. But man this looks awesome, with everyone being older and more mature, etc... Can't wait for this to come out.

i hope they'll keep the Japanese sound track in the us release and maybe have the option to keep the jp audio and put some subs. i really didn't like some of the English dubs in the first one.

Hopefully they realized how many people didn't like Hope and brought him back with the sole purpose of killing him.
