Grand Theft Auto IV Tests My Patience Because The Dialogue Is Too Good

According to Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick, Grand Theft Auto 4 has passed 22 million units shipped since its release in April 2008. The GTA franchise as a whole has exceeded a ridiculous 114 million units shipped. That's one hell of a lot of games.

Zelnick also mentioned the shipment totals on some other Take-Two franchises including Midnight Club at 18.5 million, NBA2K at 17 million, Red Dead Redemption at 12.5 million, Civilization at 11 million, BioShock at 9 million, Carnival Games at 8 million, Max Payne at 7.5 million, the Mafia franchise at 5 million, Borderlands at 4.5 million, and The Darkness at just 1 million.

Does this huge number from the GTA franchise surprise you? Hopefully by seeing such success from the naughty franchise we'll see some more news on GTA 5 popping up soon.

"Hopefully by seeing such success from the naughty franchise we'll see some more news on GTA 5 popping up soon." I agree! But sadly I think Rockstar is going to wait until the last second to announce anything about GTA 5 just because they don't want a bunch of cry babies whining about some of the games features until it's removed like they did with the kids that were supposed to be in GTA 4 but they freaked out and threw a fit because you would be able to kill them (boo hoo) and the other thing is they took flyable planes out of the game because it's based in a fictional version of New York and they didn't want people to re create the 9/11 scenario even though the game came out in 2008. Next time you wonder why nothing about GTA 5 has been announced remember what I said.

Cannot wait for GTA5. Hopefully the running motion works better. Also I see an error in your post. In the title you say 144 million while in the second sentence you say 114 million.
