Dead Island

Even though Dead Island has shipped over one million copies, you're going to have to wait on the Blood Bath DLC for the zombie slaying game as the game's developers have pushed it back to focus on fixing the title's numerous bugs.

"Right now the Dead Island development team's priority is working on fixes and updates across all platforms so that we can take care of all of the fans who have been so supportive of our game," a spokesperson from Deep Silver said. "There is some awesome DLC content planned for Dead Island, but first we have to put all our focus on the base game experience."

I think that this is a good move on Deep Silver's part. Dead Island was released with tons of bugs, and even though the company promised a Day One patch to fix everything they weren't released for the Xbox 360 or PC until this week. The team is currently working on a PlayStation 3 patch but they don't know when it will be completed.

Sign out of PSN, set character to 'single player" Online Mode = Nearly all glitches, including autosaving concerns go away.

Yeah, its ironic that a game with heavy multiplayer intentions works best as an offline single player shooter... but it works.

you knows know one of the missions have been cut of the game, when you get back with the supplies and the lifeguard goes we haven't heard from them in a week... please go check on them,

You go and you just TP to the top... cut scene... I am pretty sure there was a mission there..

Oo they were just living it big in the hotel after you cleared of zombies....

I hit one of those game crashing glitches and need to wait for a patch for that...

This game really could have used 2 more months in the development oven...

o the good old days when bugs would destroy your rep(Matrix anyone?) and weren't just an accepted part of a game.. was playing Madden '12 the other night and i got to play against the New York Titans according to the announcers.. unless i hit a time warp back to the early 60's obviously a bug.. the fact that it has become accepted to ship with such glaring flaws depresses me..

While the wait may be annoying it'll most likely only serve to better the gameplay experience seeings as how many bugs are still present in the original game, it'll be good to get those out of thew way so player aren't as pissed about the DLC as they were/are about the final game.

I'm not sure why they didn't decide to do an open-beta or something. Perhaps they needed the capital to pay their employees and investors and couldn't afford to wait. lol

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to slaughtering endless waves of zombies in a bug-free fury for hours-on-end in the next coming days/weeks/months.

While the wait is annoying it'll probably be worth it seeings as how many bugs are still present in the game it'll only serve to improve the DLC once it's finally released so people aren't as pissed about the DLC as they were/are about the final game.

Not sure why they didn't run an open-beta or something. Perhaps they needed to money to pay their employees and investors and couldn't afford to wait longer. lol.

My post got deleted? Awww come on, it was funny lol. But really though, they should work out the bugs before releasing DLC.

They are releasing Down-loadable content content? Never knew that was such a thing.

They should have at least waited until the game was complete. Apparently we don't have game testers anymore? And if there are testers, the ones that tested this game, should be fired.

I admit Dead Island has its fair share of glitches I had lots of fun playing it with my friends. That said, I would much rather have the main game fully patched up before any DLC is released.

As much as I am enjoying this game, the fall season of pre-orders I have waiting are without a doubt my priorities.

If the DLC isnt out by the end of September I won't have any time for it between RAGE, Forza 4, BF3 and Arkham City

Another reason why this game should have not been released so early. You mean this DLC wasnt close to done? Should we be expecting this Xmas of 2012? Honestly who is going to care in 3 months when they release this DLC that we should have had the first month. No one will be playing this game in 3 months..

    EPIC FAIL!
