Brace yourselves, Metal Gear fans: Hideo Kojima took the stage at Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference yesterday, and he had nothing new to share on Metal Gear Rising. Total bummer. He did, however, hint at something new coming down the pipe... though we won't see it anytime soon from the sound of things.
The Metal Gear creator didn't share much, revealing only that the game will make use of the Fox Engine. It will also utilize Transfarring, a technology developed to allow for the integration of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms (via Destructoid). Kojima said that this is a game he designed and is supervising development on, though "it may take awhile" before we see it.

Why is it that people abbreviate Metal Gear Rising as MGSR. I mean while it is part of the Metal Gear Series we don't abbreviate Final Fantasy X as FFSX or God of War 3 as GOWS3. Metal Gear is the only series where people actually put the S for series. . .

This is great and Sucks at the same time! Wheres MGS:R!? I understand Kojima likes to work on more than one project at a time but c'mon! It wasnt at E3 this year, last year you announced it was going multiplatform! It isnt at TGS you really need to give us some details. It seems like you forgot about it.

Anything from Kojima will be innovative and ridiculously compelling no doubt!
