The debut trailer for Max Payne 3 is here, and it's going to rock your world. Rockstar's third-person shooter has been anticipated for years, and I'm going to be honest, I lost hope. Max Payne 3 was originally scheduled for a 2009 release; obviously that didn't work out.
Max Payne 3 is set in Sao Paulo, Brazil nearly a decade after the events of MP2. You'll get to be everyone's favorite ex-cop next March, an exact release date has not been announced.

I played Max Payne 1 and 2 and I am definitely looking forward to playing 3.

its alive! i have to admit i was wondering if this game was real but march 2012? bad release time considering mass effect 3 is going to dominate march sales.

The atmosphere that the first two games project is, in my opinion, better than any atmosphere any other game has had and is one of the reasons I love the Max Payne series. I fear that the atmosphere in this game is going to be vastly different and that disappoints me but hopefully i'm wrong.

Macross2012 Try learning some geography before trying to put down a multi-million dollar companies hard work. Sao Paulo is in brazil you ring nut. I have to say the evolution Max payne took in the second game was somewhat nice in way and in some ways felt clunky and out dated. I do hope that rockstar sees that and try's to work around that and bring a new fresh experience into the noir like story and gameplay. I'm not sure how it would work in a south american setting but I have my faith that Rcokstar puts out yet another great game for the community to enjoy.

Looks awesome. I can't wait. Max Payne was one of my favorite series from the PS2/Xbox generation. I'm happy that they are making a 3rd game.

Honestly I am not sure what to think about this game. Really dont like the idea and they direction they have gone. I will say it does look amazing, but I really dont care about being a merc in Africa. Really hated Resident Evil 5 for the same place in the world. Was just boring

Max Payne had a very definitive style to the way it looked. It was like a black and white film noir type movie. Rockstar has taken what made Max Payne cool and unique and turned it into one of their games. They should have just made GTA 6 instead of messing with Max Payne. They can try and say that this new Max Payne is still noir, but it's most definitely not the same style as the original 2 games.

I had no idea what to expect from the game, but after seeing the preview, all of my faith in Rockstar has been fully restored. True there isn't any gameplay clips in it. But based off their track record with all of their other nextgen console games...do we really need to any gameplay video??

I will be interested to see how they transfer some of the dated game elements (bullet time) from the first 2 games over to this new one. Rockstar has the talent to do it but only time will tell. It is good to see the return of one of my favorite games though.
