The video game bloggers over at Smashing Joysticks have put together an amazing video that details the history of console gaming in only four minutes. It's slick and interesting and begs the question: How many of these consoles can you name?

Hm, I wasn't impressed, sorry. The history of video games is an interesting topic to learn about and there is plenty of information out there. This video is not accurate at all, so it must be satire? It's not funny either so...it should've been called something along the lines of a brief overview of old consoles.

I forgot just how damn annoying the Pac-Man music was.

I'm glad to see Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 being demoed! :-D

Name them? Pssh, outside of the oscilloscope I still HAVE them. I'm glad they left out the 360 because for all intensive purposes that doesn't deserve to be included in the history of gaming. It brought nothing and stole ideas from everyone else.
The video would have been much longer if they chose to include Colecovision, Atari, Master System, any of the portables, PS2, or pinball machines to name a few.

...now look back. I'm on a couch.

So apparently the Atari Jaguar, TurboGrax-16, Neo Geo, Intellivision, ColecoVision, etc... to name a few never existed? How are you going to go from Tennis for two which was in what? The 1950's? All the way to Atari in 1977 and then skip again to Nintendo in 1983?
For shame.

Just wondering. Where's either of the Microsoft systems and the PS2?

Wow, hearing the Super Mario 64 and Final Fantasy VII music brought back so many memories...

I would not call that the most complete console history.
