Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Square Enix has just announced that the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution has already shipped two million units.

In DE: HR you play as Adam Jensen, a cybernetically augmented man who has to make choices  to solve a mysterious global plot. The game is incredibly creative with a magnificent soundtrack, and what's really impressive is that Deus Ex: Human Revolution was the first game developed by Eidos-Montreal.

Not surprisingly, Deus Ex was the top selling game in August according to the NPD analysis, and already has some DLC planned called Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Missing Link

I don't have much interest in this game only because I don't really know what kind of game this is. Sure wish there was a demo out.

Can we get a demo over here. It seems like most companies don't do demo's anymore which is dissapointing. Most games I buy are becuase of trying the demo. I got Rise of Nightmares two days before I got it through Gamefly. I opened it, just to see it get a 4 out of ten two hours later (thanks to the late IGN review), oh well, it's still a good game, no matter what the review.
Driver is a great game too, if it ever stops messing with my system though.

Still playing through this game currently, pacing myself until Gears 3 gets released. I love how Deus Ex incorporates the best aspects of other franchises like Half-Life, Metal Gear Solid, and even Mass Effect. It's almost as if this was the type of game I'd want to create myself. Looking forward to the upcoming DLC.

This game was fantastic and definitely worth the hype. I can't believe X-Play only gave it a 4/5. My biggest complaint? No oldschool leaning left/right.

I just hope that its success doesn't end up casual-izing the series if they decide to make another installment. Hopefully it'll help emphasize the importance of story and flexibility in video games.

this game definitely worth the hype. i played thru it and the game was amazing how ur choices affected how u had to do the mission like getting into the police station. if u piss of the guy at the desk u can walk in or u get shot. so u gotta find a different route. if u make him happy u walk rite in

The game deserves it to sell well. The developer didn't make a console port, unlike other games I can mention, *cough* Dead Island *cough*. Made the PC version better and used the advantages of that platform.

Yet still no demo out, this amazes me. How am I supposed to justify my purchase without a demo out of it man?

This is a great game, no doubt about it but I think what really helped it sell so well was that is came out in August-September, what competition did it have? If this game would have been released in late October- early November it wouldn't have stood a chance. Hey developers spread out the release of your games. Games don't have to be released during the "holiday season" to be a big seller

This game is great so far, and I hope it sells well, but I hate when game trailers have beautiful prerendered graphic scequences, and then those sequences aren't in the game. It sets up expectations that then aren't lived up to. I still love the game, but the annoyed me cause I watched those trailers a billion times cause they were awesome.

That's what I thought too when I saw the price, but it was a PS3 copy that I looked at. Just to make sure I'm not going crazy or anything I looked at ebgames.com and sure enough it is $45. If you were waiting for any reason to buy this good/great game, you have no excuse now heh. Have fun.

Ya but 1.5 Million units were shipped back from Gamestop due to there opening packages and not wanting to sell them. So glad gamestop hurt there customer base and made a lot of people no long want to buy from gamestop.. What a way to start the game season and kill off 20% of your business :)

If you preordered thru Steam it cost $45 and you were given 8 TF2 items, now its $50 with no promo items on Steam.

Looking at Cyphins comment I'm gonna have to go check gamestop now. I haven't been there in a long time. But $45 is cheaper then steam. Maybe they are giving a discount because it's been opened. All the boxes were opened to remove the onlive promotional code and there seemed to be quite a fiasco about it. I don't give a crap that it was opened, I want the money!

Not surprising considering how much they were marketing it. Judging by the reviews the results were well deserved, though. Playing it is on my to do list.

I walked into my local Gamestop the other day and saw this game brand new for $45. Anyone know why the price suddenly dropped like that? It is a good game and I enjoyed playing it. Just feels weird seeing it discounted after like two weeks.
