If you were old enough to be playing video games in the early '90s, then you probably remember Another World. Cut from the cloth of Prince of Persia and its rotoscoped animations, the stylish PC platformer sent players running and jumping through, as the title suggests, an alien landscape. An iOS port of the game was announced earlier this year, and we now know it's coming on September 22.

Eric Chahi, the creator of Another World and the recent From Dust, revealed the planned port at GDC 2011 and the release date was finally confirmed yesterday in a press release. The universal iPhone/iPad app developed by BulkyPix will cost you $4.99. It features newly updated graphics and sound (though you can play it old-school too), swipe-based and virtual D-pad controls, and two added difficulty modes.
