Dead Island Screenshots Reveal New Playable Character: Sam B.

Super violent survival-horror game Dead Island is stirring up some drama, and not for the reasons you might think. Since the game's launch yesterday it has experienced a sizable list of issues. Deep Silver was quick to assure gamers that a patch was coming, however, the Day One patch for the consoles is still waiting for approaval... and today is Day Two. It is expected go live immediatly after being given the a-okay.

Unlike the PC patch, the console patch is not expected cause issues with exisiting saved games. The PC patch was made available yesterday. An incorrect version of Dead Island was released on Steam on Monday; the fix caused existing saves to be wiped. The console patch isn't expected to have issues with the ripper either.

Bloodbath DLC for those who pre-ordered is still coming, although a release date for Dead Island DLC hasn't been announced at this time.

I've been playing Dead Island on the Xbox 360 and I'm not afraid to admit I've been having a good time. I have faith the patch will fix many, if not all, the problems I've had with it. Hopefully Dead Island gets a Day Two patch soon.
