I kind of lost faith in DC about 10 years ago for reasons I wont go into but the DC relaunch has made me a bit curious. I may pick up the JLA reboot to see what's going on. From some of the shots from it, it looks like Green Lantern gets the spit slapped outta him a bit and that always makes me smile.
Also Lock and Key... I have been listening to you go on about it for a long time now and never got around to picking it up.... until last week. I bought the first three volumes of the trades and am so excited to start reading them. It's on hold right now because I also picked up the hardcover compendiums of Invincible (vol1-6) and am tearing through those at the moment. Also because of your recommendations I also picked up The Red Wing first two issues. Holy crap that series it UNREAL. I LOVE it. Hickman really is a genius. Wicked reviews. Keep it up :D I may have fallen a little behind in the comics department the last little while but always keep your reviews/recommendations in mind when I do get the chance to pick some up. Thanks a lot.

I didn't like the Flashpoint series at all. The premise was good if it had actually been Zoom that changed everything. But the fact that it was an insignificant event change on Barry's part that changed an entire world was too ridiculous to believe. I can see changes being made after Barry's interference.....but how does that change anything related to events that take place beforehand? How does that change Bruce dying instead of Thomas? How does that change Superman crashing in Metropolis instead of in Kansas? These are connections that simply don't make sense and in the end we get a series where DC tries too hard to make one character more vital than the others. Poor writing aside for Infinite Crisis and Final Crisis, at least those stories (and Crisis on Infinite Earths before them) didn't hinge on any one hero. Final Crisis wasn't specifically Batman's story even though he died, it wasn't Barry and Wally's story even though they brought death to Darkseid, it wasn't Superman's story even though he ended up finishing off Darkseid and building the miracle machine. It was a collective effort that got the characters through each of those crisis points even if it was Superman that finished all 3. Yet by focusing only on Barry in the main Flashpoint titles DC diminished the impact this series could have had and the end conclusion on why all of this happened in the first place.
Plus, in the end it told us nothing about why the universe reset to this new DCnU over the previous DCU that we all grew up with. All we got was that this is actually the reality that's supposed to exist and the other's were just there as a safety precaution or something. Obviously we still have another major event to go before we get all these answers but in the end I don't think Flashpoint delivered what it was supposed to and that lack of accomplishment dropped my interest in the final issue.

Really wasnt blown away by Justice League. Flashpoint had some good moments, but everything really felt rushed. The Rinse sounds good. Blair, how about some Uncanny X-Force reviews? Its one of my favorite Marvel books.
