Players will be able to get their first in-depth look at the iconic Halo 4 Warthog as, surprisingly, it will be featured in Forza Motorsport 4's breathtaking new Autovista experience. Autovista is pretty incredible. It lets players interact, walk around, and learn about some of the world's most high class vehicles in a way no other game has been able to before. In Autovista, you can get inside of vehicles, turn them on, look at the dashboard, under the hood, and more.
The one downer: You won't be able to drive the Warthog in Forza. The gun-turrets might be a little unfair to the other cars, after all.
What's neat about the Warthog Autovista experience in Forza Motorsport 4, aside from getting to closely inspect the latest edition of the vehicle, is that the interactive experience is narrated by the voice of Cortana from the Halo series. And for total Halophiles, there are special messages included around certain features to help shed even more light on the epic storyline. Autovista is, of course, better with Kinect, so those of you with the motion sensor will be able to get even more out of the experience.
Forza Motorsport 4 will be racing in to your living room on October 11 exclusively for the Xbox 360, and the Warthog will be unlocked by an as-yet-unknown method. One disappointing news bit though: You won't be able to drive the Warthog in the game. At a top speed of 77mph, it just doesn't hold a candle to the other cars in the game.

This would make a much better pre-order bonus than the current ones, which are ordinary and somewhat important cars.
Each retailer will have a different car for pre-order.. Amazon's pre-order is the Impreza STI for example, a rather run of the mill/standard in all racing games.
I just could not imagine a racing game without that little beast.. to have it and other's similar as a pre-order bonus is rediculous, especially when that's what this warthog should be for.

As a Halo fan boy, I find this very awesome, if I wanted to drive the warthog... well, that's what the Halo games are for...

I agree with BOYETCHLES.
Are some of you really that shallow? What else would you be complaining about if this never happened? Halo doesn't have anything to do with Forza. So why be a baby when you're getting something extra for your money.
This is a true bonus, not something that even pertains to the game it's going to be in.

Driving this in Forza would be fun BUT only if we had to drive it exactly like we do in Halo (thumbsticks only)....

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been driving the Warthog for about 10 years now. This is offering the one thing I HAVEN'T been able to do, which is get a detailed look at the inside of the warthog. This is not a waste of resources, not only is Microsoft the publisher of Turn 10 (as well as Bungie) and therefore providing a small connection between the games, but I'm sure the developers had a great time doing this. Not everything has to be about straight work, let the developers have some fun too, and considering the number of cars in this game, doing one more is not going to be that much of a waste of resources.
I'm going to appreciate this as a TRUE fan would, and not be a spoiled brat because I can't do everything I want

If this is a move to try and get Halo players to buy Forza, I can assure you it won't work.
All we have to do is wait for just one person to buy the game with a HD PVR, record this singular experience, and post it on Youtube. Congrats.

bitter sweet... cool they have the warthog but sucks they wont let us use it...
so why even put it in, do they think halo players are gonna buy the game just bc of the warthog, that u cant drive.... this is a worthless move, a waste of resources just to give a sight look at halo 4.....
