Air Guitar, Air Drums, and Air Keyboard. We've all played them. Millions of songs and trillions of notes have long been banged out on nonexistent instruments, and now someone is making a game out of it. Air Band is the lastest innovation to come to Kinect Fun Labs, and it introduces new Augmented Reality technology to Kinect and places you on stage as the star of your living room with a guitar, drums or keyboard. Air Band will be available in Kinect Fun Labs on August 22, 2011.
You know, as interesting as this looks... why couldn't it have come come out years ago? Now I have a closet full of plastic instruments, and what am I supposed to do with those? With Kinect, you're not only the controller, but you're apparently also the instrument as well. Now hand me my light drumsticks and get the hell out of the way.

JTron, not everything in Fun Labs is free. Sparkler and Air Band are both 240 MS points each. Maybe you should check your facts before you tell people they don't know what they're talking about. You can look up the prices for any Xbox add on by going to the website(www.xbox.com) and doing a search.

i love how all these people are talking crap when they don't know what they're talking about. Kinect Fun Labs is FREE people. It's just a way for people to show off cool ideas that they've come up with for Kinect. Of course it's not going to be a full fledged game, so you can't even compare it to Rockband or even Wii Music. It's just a fun tech demo that is FREE. I think it's a pretty cool idea and will definitely give it a shot when it comes out; even if it only provides 5 minutes of entertainment, it's FREE!

Why is Microsoft charging for tech demos?

I was under the impression that Kinect Fun Labs were free so I don't understand the argument that it won't sell. It should just be that no one will actually play it...

This looks like another IMPRESSIVE edition to Xbox 360's amazing 2011 exclusive lineup of games! I cannot wait for this, along with Sesame Street: Once Upon A Monster!

No worries Kevin, looks like Sony is going to keep the plastic toy makers in business for a while.
