Insane

Guillermo del Toro, the director of fabulous movies/experiences like Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy, recently revealed some new details on his upcoming trilogy of horror games, inSANE. Every word make me want the game more.

According to del Toro, inSANE will be a sandbox style game with heavy influence from the great H.P. Lovecraft.

"It's Lovecraftian, it's really weird, but it's Lovecraftian in a very sick way," del Toro said. "It's truly, truly entertaining. Full of action, but also a very shocking game. And Guy Davis and Francisco [Ruis Velasco]. Guy Davis, to me, is one of the best monster designers alive right now."

The director went on to say: "We've been working for a year. We have two or three more years to go. It's huge. I'm learning a lot. I'm going in with a really, really modest 'I'm learning' approach. I'm a huge gamer but going into constructing it, you have to be respectful of the medium. I'm learning a lot. Talking about the storyline for weeks. We've been designing the creatures, which are obscenely fun and unique. You haven't seen them ever."

The  only thing I don't like about del Toro's game is the waiting two to three years for it to come out. I'll predict now, gamers, that if this does come out, it's going to be amazing. But, I thought the same thing about Guillermo del Toro's Sundown.. and that game looks like it will never come out. For that matter, I thought the same thing about del Toro's planned film version of The Mountains of Madness, and it looks like that won't happen either. Why do you have to do this to me, Guillermo del Toro?
