Wondering what to do this weekend? I have a suggestion for you. To paraphrase the Swedish Chef: "Zork, Zork, Zork, Zork!" Good Old Games is having a fantastic 40% off special on the classic text adventure Zork, along with the other installments in the series: Zork Nemesis, Return to Zork, and Zork: Grand Inquisitor.

In case you ever wanted to see what interactive fiction was all about, check out the classic Zork Anthology for only $3.59, and see what the fuss was. It includes not only Zork 1, 2, and 3, but also Beyond Zork, Zork Zero, and the sci-fi classic Planetfall. Before polygon counts and matrix vertices, there was Zork. Try these out on the cheap, but remember to leave a light on because you don't want to get eaten by a grue.

Return to Zork was one of my first "real" games that I finished. It and Phantasmagoria are good times.

Omfg, you just reminded me of the game I used love on my Commodore 64... What an amazing game was hypnotized without a doubt whenever I played it.

I think I remember playing ZORK Grand Inquisitor. It's a point and click game where magic is outlawed and you get some guy arrested right?
I was very young when this happened but I think it was a free game on my PC and as I recalled I liked it.
MYST was also a free game on my first PC (well my dad's PC) and I liked it too...
I never finished the damn thing or knew what the hell I was doing but Wikipedia filled me in.

You just lost 95% of your audience, sadly.
