The Consular isn't the only healer on the Republic side. The Trooper and the Smuggler also have dedicated healing specs. Selecting the Commando advanced class for the Trooper and then speccing into Combat Medic, or choosing the Scoundrel advanced class for the Smuggler and speccing into Sawbones will make as capable a healer as going Consular/Sage/Healer.
The same is true of the Empire classes; Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent.
On each faction, 3 classes can heal, 3 classes can tank, and all four classes can be spec'd for DPS.

Entertaining show. Though with the DCUO comment, I am surprised that he didn't mention something I saw in the news about WOW losing people.
