Last month, Valve offered to unlock the Left 4 Dead campaign Dead Air in Left 4 Dead 2 earlier than had been previously announced if 20,000 fans stepped up and played through the still-in-beta DLC campaign Cold Stream. It was a successful promotion, so much so that it's being repeated for the next DLC campaign from the original L4D.
Valve revealed in a blog post that Blood Harvest's release date will be determined by the fans, with the beta version unlocking on "the next weekday" after 60,000 people unlock the Connecting Flights achievement, which is earned by playing through the entire Dead Air campaign in Versus mode. The post notes that "60,000 will be hard," but more than that number turned out for the last challenge when only 20,000 were needed. Methinks the fans have this one in the bag.

I have both PC and Console... I can feel the extreme level of sodium on the people who just have consoles side. I was just hoping i could get a few pinches of salt for these fries I'm about to eat while i play L4D2......................on the PC lol

you know what... screw that... (and I don't care how much crap I take from the PC gamers) But what the hell Valve... you've done the Beta for Cold Stream for months now... you "released" the beta for Dead Air... for the PC ONLY... and now Blood Harvest... again for the PC ONLY... when is this going to get the CONSOLE RELEASE... I bought Left 4 Dead 2 also.... what about all of us already????? You keep saying it's out later this summer... ITS AUGUST ALREADY?!!?? and NO RELEASE DATE... wow thanks for SCREWING US AGAIN....First Consoles have to pay for DLC that the PC's got for free... now PC's are getting all this "early" content and your SCREWING the Console users again... I like Valve games... but this is seriously getting ridiculous... WE PLAY TOO... how about throwing us something exclusive.

I was also wondering when dead air and the achievement connecting fights is coming out today because im on left 4 dead 2 and i do not see it or can not find it.

it is interesting way to launch it but i was wondering if there going to put new guns in the dlc or not, and are they really shutting down the servers for left 4 dead 1
