Mortal Kombat 9's latest challenger will be none other than Freddy Krueger. As a fan of either the MK series or the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, you can surely see how these two make sense together. Shao Kahn and Freddy Krueger will battle it out for souls. This battle eventually leads to Krueger being dragged out of the Nightmare world, making him a mortal. I've said too much, watch this trailer to see what I mean.

I like the idea, but they really dropped the ball with the 2 glove thing. Why?!? Was he not tough enough with ONE glove? Why they're at it why not say he created a ultra fire dragon sword of doom also? Freddy has ALWAYS had one glove. NEVER EVER TWO!

Lame, just lame. This doesn't make any sense at all. If you are a fan of the Nightmare series, then you know that Freddy is just trying to wipe out Elm Street. Kahn really wants souls from Elm Street very badly.

If you really want to bring a person from nightmares into a game you play...Do a psych. test on ur self in-game, and have the game make your worse nightmare come to life...Your mind is your own worst enemy.

All I need now is Jason Vorhees, Micheal Myers, LeatherFace, and Pinhead maybe Chucky. After that I think I just may cream my pants. The story could be they are called upon to guard Shao Kahn against Freddy or somthing like that. Or the event of Freddy's arrival attracted the attention of the other Horror Legends who were thirsty for blood. That's would be Epic!

Freddy doesn't really fit the Mortal Kombat universe. He seems to be tacked on.

They should have used a girl for this trailer like Kitana or Sonya
And instead of adding more horror movie characters into MK I think Netherrealm Studios should make an entirely new fighting game where the combatants are horror movie characters with interactive stages, finishing moves and everything.
Don't get me wrong I love the idea of Freddy Krueger being in MK9 I'm just saying that this could be the start of another great fighting game and expand it's potential
