Yesterday's THQ investor call wasn't ALL doom and gloom. Volition, Inc. may be done for now with Red Faction, but the Saints Row franchise is still a potent force in the gaming world. The upcoming sequel Saints Row: The Third is packed with content too, but that doesn't mean THQ isn't planning on adding some more.
CEO Brian Farrell confirmed during yesterday's call that there's quite a bit of additional content coming to the game. Almost a full year's worth, based on his comments. How many of those add-ons do you think will involve some sort of sex toy being turned into a lethal weapon? More than one, I'd wager.
"Saints Row's digital ecosystem will contain the most comprehensive suite of digital content across our portfolio, including a season pass, microstransactions, planned DLC offerings for nearly a year post launch, game add-ons, consumables and an in-game store," Farrell said (via Eurogamer). He didn't go into more detail than that, but knowing that there will still be fresh content coming to the game at around this time next year is a lovely thing.
