Madden NFL 12 Demo Arrives On August 9

Your yearly Madden NFL fix may be coming a little later than usual this year -- Madden NFL 12 is out on August 30 -- but you'll be able to tide yourself over with the demo soon enough. EA Sports has confirmed that the two-team exhibition sampling will be available for download on your HD console of choice starting August 9.

The demo will allow Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players to pit two teams against one another, the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, in a rematch of last year's NFC Championship showdown. The game will be limited to five-minute quarters, and it will unfold in the game's newly officially licensed Soldier Field, the home of the Bears (and the final Grateful Dead show, incidentally).

Funny how the ink is still wet on the CBA as well the ink that's still dripping off the free agents contracts signed over the last few days, but somehow, this game has been ready for months. If they can spit and bubble up a game in less than a week, why can't they patch Madden 11' with trades. free agents, and draft picks? That's right, they do that every year but they call it a new game.
