Watch out William Faulkner; a Dead Island novel is coming. Bantam is publishing the official novelization of the zombie-slaying video game, and you bookworms will be able to check it out from your local library on September 8. Written by British Fantasy Award winning author, Mark Morris, Dead Island: The Novel is planned for a simultaneous release with the video game, and gives readers "a terrifying glimpse into the horrors thrust upon the four individuals who have unwittingly embarked upon the ultimate holiday from Hell."
So what do you think? Are you planning on picking up this novel? What about the game?

We're gamers, not readers! Jkjk, I'll probably pick this up. The only other game novels I've read were the halo series, but I can check this out.

i might get it.i would love a book written in a very detailed way.hope it is detailed in the first place.otherwise it would be boring like some other books.

...from what they've shown so far of the game...I've yet to see the emotional and stressful survival action that was so effectively communicated in the now classic first trailer...I hope they have strong writers that can convey that horror in the novels

I still need to preorder the game, I hope I still can...but aside from Mass Effect, I'm not really into video game novels. Besides, zombies belong in a visual medium like movies, games, comics, not a book. IMHO
