Driver: San Francisco Pushed Back Into Early 2011

Fair warning: this news is going to be distressing for PC gamers with unpredictable Internet connections and those who like to complain about overly restrictive protection measures in computer games. Ubisoft's Driver: San Francisco on PC will require an active Internet connection whenever it is played, according to the game's Steam product page and further confirmed by an update on the game's official Twitter feed.

The requirement won't be true of the console versions of the game, though Driver: SF will be the first Ubi title to make use of the publisher's Uplay Passport online pass, a code that comes with new copies of the game (it can also be purchased separately) which unlocks multiplayer modes and other exclusive features.
