BioWare, on Saturday July 23rd, posted to the official Mass Effect 2 Facebook page a contest for fans of FemShep: "Like" the one FemShep design of six presented that you preferred, and the one with the most votes will become the official default and will receive cover girl glory for the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition box.
Twitter feed ME3News has since announced a landslide victory for the blonde variant, which at the time of this writing has 19,816(!) votes, more than twice as much as the second place design. As for my thoughts on the blonde FemShep: I didn't vote for her, but she's my Commander and I hope she does a good job. Click the Read More to see her in all her badassery.
What do you think? Is blonde the way to go or do you wish one of the others had won? Or does it not even matter to you?

Well... this is completely wrong. The Redhead femshep won by 19k, not the blonde (who, incidentally, got 12k). Nice work g4tv.

Well, this is really only the marketing decision, and who will be the first femshep. The others will probably still be used as the other presets in the customization screen. But I voted for this one any way.

The contest isn't over. ME3News isn't official, nor were they announcing the winner of the contest. They were announcing preliminary results. The blond was leading at the time, thus she "won" the preliminary poll. Sloppy reporting.

personally I kind of liked the Redhead Default shepard... NocturnalX mentioned she looks like Samus, I think she looks like a cross between Samus and Alison Haslip.

I think the first 3 were better looking than the blonde one. She looks like someone hit her in the face with an ugly stick.

It really doesn't matter to me because I use my own FemShep, but i guess this FemShep will do for the people who don't like customizing their own character

It isn't so much that she's blonde as that her hairstyle is way better than the others. Maybe one should think about that before saying everyone is a racist.

In my eyes, they all look too young, too inexperienced, and too different from my ME2 FemShep. Shep is supposed to be a grizzled war veteran, not some teen-age girl in armor.

I usually play as a blonde femshep, but I think that the hair style of the blonde was definitely one of it's strong points I'm sure if you would have kept that style and altered everything else perhaps the outcome would've been different. But people need to stop complaining if you don't like it there's a customize option for a reason.
