New fighter announcements for Soulcalibur V had been teased in the days leading up to San Diego Comic-Con, and new fighters are what we got. Returning character Ivy is joined by two newcomers: Natsu, a former student of Taki's, and Zwei, who appears to hold his short sword like a tonfa.
The vitals for the newly announced characters are detailed in a post on the PlayStation Blog. Zwei's fighting style is touted in the post as stepping into "all-new territory." He holds his weapon, called Kreuzgriff, much like Talim wields her dual tonfas. Zwei's only got one though, and it's much bigger than your average tonfa.
Natsu heads into battle with dual kodachi, just like her mentor Taki. It should be noted though that the blog post mentions that Taki is still kicking around somewhere. She may not be playable -- we don't know yet -- but we'll probably see her somewhere in the game.
Finally there's Ivy. No introduction need for fans of the series. The aging warrior and daughter of Cervantes still carries her whip-like snake sword and still looks completely badass, as you can see in the fan-captured SDCC trailer below (via Kotaku).
