Activision has announced the US release date of the action packed Prototype 2 will be on April 24, 2012. “We know our fans have been clamoring to find out when they would be able to get their hands-on Prototype 2," said studio head Ken Rosman in the announcement. "The whole studio is excited that we can finally reveal the timing.
Prototype 2 will follow the story of James Heller as he seeks vengeance for his wife and child's death. To add even more hype to the announcement, Activision has released a new trailer from the open-world game. Check it out below.
Prototype 2 will be coming out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

It's not about good or bad, it's about revenge. He's not trying to stop him for any noble cause, as far as I've heard, he's trying to kill him because Alex was responsible for his families death.

Most games aren't worth $60 dollars. This game doesn't give me much hope. Hmm Black Hero you say?! ok-no no don't try and tempt me. So far the only games I would consider paying 60 shells for is uncharted 3, Resistance 3, Monster Hunter 4 PS3, or Cowboys $ Pokemon. Yea I think thats it.

If this guy is supposed to be the "good" guy that hates Alex Mercer, how will that work out since it appears that he has the same virus Alex had. Meaning that he will most likely kill/absorb/destroy anything in his path like Alex did. Alex wasn't a bad person, nor a good one. He was just trying to figure out what was happening, and didn't much care for who died in the process of him doing what he wants. This new guy is looking to be the same thing. The trailer didn't really do a good job of showing much of anything.

Loved the first one. Not the story but just the whole super human in an open world environment..... That can actually kill things. Not like super hero games where you just beat crap up. I just hope for some sort of coop such as one player playing as Heller as the other plays as Mercer. Coop Action? Day one purchase. No? Bargain bin.
