Competitve Quake Live and Brink will both be featured in QuakeCon 2011's tournament line up where over $40,000 in prize money will be up for grabs. QuakeCon is being held on August 4-7 in Dallas, Texas and is free and open to the public.
The tournament line up includes the Quake Live Duel Invitational Masters and the Quake Live Team Deathmatch Invitational Masters, as well as a Brink Open Tournament. The Duel Invitational will pit sixteen of the world's best Quake Live players against one another for a prize pool of $14,000 in a single elimination bracket.
The Team Deathmatch will feature players competing in a 4 vs. 4 environment in single elimination format. The prize pool for the Team Deathmatch is a staggering $28,000, with $16,000 going to the champs.
The Brink tournament will be one of the first times that the game has been played competitively live. Players will face off in 5 vs. 5 stopwatch single elimination matches for prizes like top of the line video cards and autographed copies of Brink.
If you want to sign up for your chance to reign supreme at QuakeCon, you can register between July 15th and July 31 at QuakeCon's website.

No. The best that they can do is Quake Live! and Brink? Those are both games that have been out for a while, and Quakecon should be about upcoming Id games like Rage, which should've been there showing what little multiplayer it has, instead of not showing up at all...
